tube of plenty nov. 4

Tube of plenty has had a lot of information and for this entry i would like to talk about one fact of television which is the transfer between radio and televisions. One personality that wasn't very good on radio but became one of the leading television comedians of his time was Milton Berle who was on the Texaco Star Theater. Milton Berle was known as "Uncle Miltie" and never tried anything politically risky. Another great television personality was Ed Sullivan who's show started as The Toast of The Town and the later became known as the Ed Sullivan Show.

WWII

Well my story pitch really isnt much so please dont pick it. I only have one person i can interview and thats my dad because during the beginning of WWII he and his mother were living in China and had to leave because of the invasion. So the angle that this story could is what different people had to go through when the war started to physically take tolls on the country.

Please dont pick this.

Tube of Plenty?

In the book at this point families are about to make it a little closer to televisions being the norm in house holds, but the future of TV was still unclear. After at this point CBS was created after NBC was created and they were to of the biggest competitors of each other. During the presidential the industries took sides and decided to support the presidential candidate Herbert Hoover who they thought would help TV more then any other.

Tube of Plenty

To put it simply this book so far has been epic so far. every page i read seems to connect to the bigger of television and media in general. I especially enjoyed the begging few pages when i related the past with the future of the entire glob. A lot of people made incredible predictions of what the average family would look like when the television would come in and these predictions even relate to the internet.

Element

From what i have read i think that adobe premiere elements is much better for our class. my reasoning behind this is that for one thing its much cheaper and a lot more user friendly then other software. Also it isn't missing any important editing tools that our class would use. In the end this product has a lot more to offer the class then its more expensive models.

The old news compared to the new news

Well i finished watching Goodnight and Good luck and then watched local news to compare the two. Well i really like the style from the old news and dont mind the new main stream visuals of the new news but really didnt like the middle ground at all. Because if your going to have visuals make them good for god sakes instead of half done like the local news.
